1960's wizard of oz scarecrow swing set top, Illinoid

Image
Remember the famous Wizard of OZ? Remember the scarecrow named Game-Time? In 1960's, heavy cast iron Game-Time images were put on swing sets at Litchfield Carnival as eye attractions. They were all double faced. Nowadays, these old swing set top are getting really rare. We have a authentic one, weighs over 40 pounds and measures about 27" tall and 18" across. Not broken, but the paint is not so vivid any more due to its age.   We have proudly display it for many years and now it is time to look for a good home for it. We won't ship it so if you are interest come by 211 6th Street, Greenleaf, KS to take a look.

a chicken windmill weight

What is a windmill weight? Look at the horse at one end of the windmill. Windmill weights are typically heavy cast iron animals. Antique collectors use to drive all the way to the country looking to buy old wind mills for their weights. Hummer chicken windmill weights came out in the late 1800's. It has been a wanted collectible item. A real original old one brings about a thousand dollars. However real ones are hard to come by. We have reproduced the hummer style 8 LB chicken windmill weight with cast iron and painted them with rust color paint. They are not antique but certainly give your garden a cool look and make people stop. Please visit our ebay store rustyandweathered .
